Free Case Converter: Title Case, camelCase, snake_case and More

Title Case keeps short words (a, an, the, of, in…) lowercase unless they come first. The code cases (camel, snake, kebab) split on spaces, punctuation and existing capitals.

Short answer

Paste text above and click a case to convert it instantly: UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case, Sentence case, or programming styles such as camelCase, PascalCase, snake_case, kebab-case and CONSTANT_CASE. Code cases convert line by line, so lists of variable names stay separate. Undo and copy are one click.

03 — Guide

How to convert text case step by step

  1. Paste the text

Paste anything from a single heading to a whole document. For programming cases, put one identifier per line.

  2. Pick the style for your use

Use Title Case for headlines (AP and Chicago styles keep short words such as 'of' and 'the' lowercase), Sentence case for UI text and most blog titles, camelCase for JavaScript variables, snake_case for Python and SQL, kebab-case for URLs and CSS classes, and CONSTANT_CASE for environment variables.

  3. Check proper nouns and acronyms

Automatic conversion can't know that 'iPhone', 'NASA' or 'McDonald' need special capitals. Fix those by hand after converting.

  4. Copy the result

Click Copy. If you changed your mind, Undo restores the previous version of the text.

04 — FAQ

Common questions

What is the difference between Title Case and Sentence case?

Title Case capitalizes major words ('How to Build a Website in a Day'). Sentence case capitalizes only the first word and proper nouns ('How to build a website in a day'). Google's style guide and many product teams use sentence case for headings because it's easier to read.

What is camelCase used for?

camelCase (myVariableName) is the convention for variables and functions in JavaScript, Java and Swift. PascalCase (MyClassName) is used for classes and React components, snake_case for Python and database columns, and kebab-case for URLs and CSS.

How do I undo accidental Caps Lock text?

Paste it here and click Sentence case. It lowercases everything and capitalizes the first letter of each sentence. Then re-capitalize names by hand.

Is this case converter free and private?

Yes. It's free, has no ads and converts text entirely in your browser. Nothing is uploaded or stored.
